James Joseph Parsons a.k.a Jim Parsons was born on March 24, 1973, in Houston, Texas.Jim rose to fame as Sheldon on the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory. He studied at University of Houston and in 2001, Jim completed his master's degree at the University of San Diego. He then moved to New York City after his  graduation where he found work in the theater. Parsons has landed on roles in television and film projects like Judging Amy and Garden State in 2004. In 2007, he began his successful run on The Big Bang Theory. Parsons has won Emmy Awards in 2010, 2011 and 2013 for his work on the show.
